Dusky Woodswallow
The Dusky Woodswallow is found across Australia and favours open forests and woodlands. The distinctive white patch on its wing and darker smoky brown colouration distinguishes it from other species of Woodswallow. The species is migratory, the south-eastern populations moving north for the cooler months.
Native Laurel is endemic to Tasmania, favouring the rainforest and wet eucalypt forests in the south and west. An evergreen shrub, it usually grows to 4 meters, but has been known to form a much taller tree. Flowers are white or flushed pink, showing in spring and often again in autumn.
