Tasmanian Scrubwren
Endemic to Tasmania, the Tasmanian Scrubwren inhabits a wide range of habitats, anything with a dense understory from rainforest to eucalypt forest, paperbark swamps and costal scrub. The male Scrubwren has stronger more contrasting colouring, particularly between the bill and the eye.
Native Indigo is an ornamental shrub that is popular as a food and nectar source with butterflies. It can grow up to 2 meters tall and the leaves and stems can be used for a natural dye, resulting in a pale yellow colour.
