The Pink Robin is a small round bird which is less often seen than other robins, choosing to inhabit dense damp habitats. Only the males have the distinctive pink colouration from their breast to under the belly, the females are an olive-brown with lighter brown slightly pink underparts. During breeding season Pink Robins are often seen alone or in pairs in the deep gullies of eucalypt forests and rainforests. 

Bauera, more commonly known as Dog Rose, Wiry Scrub, Rose Heath or River Rose is a native plant found growing wild in eastern Australia and Tasmania, favouring alpine areas. Colours range from white through to pinks and purples.
